Today, I wish to share the good news for employers, employees and those who are interested in the field of labor and social security laws of Cambodia. The Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training has just released a compilation of laws which reflects all the amendments to the key laws including the Labor Law, Trade Union Law, Minimum Wage Law and Social Security Law.
Please note that the Labor Law of 1997 has been amended in 2007, 2018 and 2021. The Trade Union Law of 2015 was amended in 2020. The Social Security Law of 2019 has superseded the Law on Social Security for the Persons under the Provisions of the Labor Law of 2002.
This compilation will ease the understanding of individuals and promote the compliance of the labor and social security laws in Cambodia, which ultimately harmonize industrial relations at macro level and individual employment relations.
